Is $5/day enough to actually succeed with Google Ads?
I hear this question all the time. And to be honest, I understand why people ask it. Most of the time, it comes from a place of wanting Google Ads to be the “last push” that will save a struggling business.
But here’s the reality: Google Ads only magnifies what’s already happening in your business.
If your offer isn’t strong, your landing page doesn’t convert, or your funnel is broken, running ads won’t solve that—it will just waste your budget.
A better way to think about it is this:
Instead of asking “Is $5/day enough?” ask “How much do I need to spend to get at least 10 clicks per day?”
Why 10 clicks? Because with that level of traffic, you’re getting around 6,000 impressions a month. That’s enough data to test headlines, adjust landing pages, and make optimizations that actually move the needle.
So if you’re starting out, don’t focus only on how small your daily budget can be. Focus on gathering enough data to learn, test, and improve. That’s where success with Google Ads begins.
What do you think—did you start with a small daily budget when you first tested ads?
